Good Friday @ ZCC
On Good Friday, I’m filled with gratitude and sorrow knowing that Jesus came down from heaven to live on earth, share His gospel and eventually take up the cross for us. He bore the weight of our sin and it was a heavy price to pay for our salvation. My sin was part of that price…your sin too…and so we thank you Jesus for the blood you shed and the sacrifice you made on our behalf. In a short time, we will see our sorrow turn into eternal joy and praise but today we remember how you were pierced for us.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
