Devotional

As believers, Good Friday is a moment of both joy and tremendous hurt. We rejoice in the fact that God has given His only Son to die in our place on the cross. We also hurt because we understand the tremendous amount of suffering and pain Jesus under during the crucifixion. It’s hard for me to think about all of the pain and torture that He endured on my behalf and the behalf of everyone else in the world.

But I am comforted in knowing that Sunday is coming! The day is coming where my Lord will rise again. Where He will have defeated death and sin. I can celebrate in His triumph and feel overwhelmed with joy to know that some day, I will get to thank Him face to face for this ultimate sacrifice!
